[B] Homerun of Bless [ Illbleed / Beauty Past Compare ]

[imgleft]https://matope-swamp.com/images/araucan ... uncert.png[/imgleft] Illbleed had found himself surprised after the very pretty doe had turned out to be with child. He spent a day quiet, contemplating the situation, and brought himself to the conclusion that he had to do something to contribute more than what he had already contributed, anyway.

Once he had made up his mind, Illbleed was back to himself. Which mostly meant he was back to hiding in bushes and jumping out at kin and familiars and possibly biting them. Illbleed was not a particularly deep buck.

In his finite little mind, then, he decided that the best way to contribute was to find a Legendary and engage with them the best way he knew how. A wiser kin would probably have tried to dissuade him from his approach, but there was none to guide him. He was on his quest to jumpscare a Legendary and following that, he was sure lovely Damselfly would receive a nice blessing somehow.

So he begun skulking through the bushes all along the Swamp, until he happened upon a luxuriously soft Acha fastidiously grooming herself on a bank, breathing heavily, surrounded by aesthetic branches and uprooted brush that seemed to have been transported from another part of the Swamp. Critters sat about her, occasionally chewing on a branch, before her lilting voice chided them for doing so.

Good, good good good. She was unprepared. Relaxed. Unsuspecting.

The sizeable Acha also let out a cry that was louder and shriller by measure. Illbleed would have been impressed had his ears not pressed down in pain. It seemed unfair that her creatures were immediately set on him without warning, because one of them had teeth, and two of them had beaks. Then he felt it particularly unfair that her little hooves were so sharp and that even though her body was soft, it crushed against his sides. The strange creatures pinned him down, and he felt it particularly unfair that he was currently being so effectively pummeled by a very angry doe, her brightly-glowing eyes narrowed in rage.

"How dare you," Beauty Past Compare shrieked, "when I had just washed my hair! Now I've got to wash your blood out of it again. You miserable maggot! You worm! You don't even deserve to be bitten by my puppies!"

But two of them have beaks, Illbleed thought with great confusion.

"I'll kill you!" and she raised her sharp little hoof.

"Bless!" he managed to scream out, unused to being the one who was terrorised as opposed to doing the terrorising.

"Oh you need to pray all right," she snarled.

"Blessing! Please!"

For a moment there, Beauty's eyes looked up to the skies, and she could imagine the Motherfather looking down upon her rather disappointedly if she cut him open right there.

She backed down and called her pups off.

"Terrible way to ask for one," she barked.

"Sorry, it's all I know," he said, sitting up and bleeding.

The Motherfather was truly testing her.

"Whaddya want."

Illbleed exercised his limited brain.

"For them to be healthy - and fun!"

Beauty's eyes rolled up, to the skies, and then she wiped his blood off on his leg before sullenly exercising her throat. Long Bottom rose to its fullest stretch and swayed alongside her vibrato.

"Oh Motherfather, your will we seek,
for health of mum and children please,
may they be full of joy and fun,
and to be wiser than this one."

It was low effort but she was not in the mood after having the ululation shocked out of her.

"Aaaaaiiieeeeeee"

She pranced around the upright swaying of her longest pup before striking a dramatic pose.

"Now go."

"Thanks," Illbleed said with some hesitation, before scrambling off. He had finally found someone stranger than he was.
