[B] Wretch / Roses in Bloom

Post by Moonstone Dazzle »

Image For someone so loathsome, so vile a creature, she had somehow become saddled with young. Children to be. As if she could give anything good to them. Pulling herself out of the muck, Wretch went hunting. She had heard stories. The mares and stags of legend who could give these cursed beings to be better lives than her own. And they would need every bit of help they could.

Approaching the cavern, Wretch cleared her throat.

"Hello?"

Image Winter wasn't her favorite season. When she got to snuggle with Half-Truth, it was more palatable. Doable. She could stay warm, sigh wistfully about the magic of winter, and decidedly stay out of it. But here she was, alone. Moping to herself, Roses in Bloom tossed her hair and sighed.

In her own melancholy, she barely heard the quiet voice.

"Yes, hello? Hello!"  She sat up, trying to get eyes on the stranger. Her ears perked, and Roses squinted her eyes.

"Is that you by the entrance, my dear? Please, come in! Come in!"

"Nnng-" Wretch flinched back, retreating back over her hooves and nearly tripping in the process. No, no... she didn't want to be known. She had let the buck be too close, had let him in, and that had been a mistake. Now she was sullying something beautiful, bringing these poor children into life from her...

"P-please, no. I. No. I wanted... to seek your... b-blessing. Your h-help. These... these poor children. They need b-better. Than me."
