Name Origin: An ever-curious totoma that ignored the warnings of her elders and strayed too far on the seemingly-frozen river. One heavy step took her through the ice and beneath the freezing waters. Down and down and down she went, water pushing her along the bottom and tumbling her like a stone. The waters slowed enough for her to get her hooves beneath her. Urgency had her propelling herself upwards, trying to break through the shell of ice above her. One... two.. three.. cracks and indents. Dots danced across her vision and with burning lungs she smashed upwards one more time. The ice shattered and she dragged herself up and out, feeling weak and wobbly like a newborn lamb. Gasps and whispers had her blinking up at a herd of strangers. "She came from the river!" one cried. "Delivered to us from the ice," another mused, stepping closer. "Like a child," The largest of the bunch dragged her further onto stable, dry land before stepping back and giving her a nod. "Welcome, Iceborn"
