She always knew what she wanted in life and would fight for what she loved. She has always loved kids and would often foal sit for her friends so they could enjoy a break. Being around them gave her a sense of family. But now after an interaction with a handsome buck she is expecting her own little foals. She's ready to be a mom, but worries about if she'll be able to raise them well due to her lack of a parenting role model. She wandered to a clearing to ease her mind and sat looking to the sky. The look of worry still on her face.

A dark shadow appeared in the sky above Song, a curved figure, descending rapidly, with a building HUUUUUMMMMMMM.

It was hard to tell but as the black and gold wasp came to a jerky, buzzing halt, bobbing in the air above the green doe, its fierce, glowing eyes were filled with curiosity. Swarm still wasn't very good at this blessing business and sometime forgot to not be a wasp but she was here and she was trying.

Song was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of buzzing wings and noticed the black and gold wasp hovering above her. She was startled by it's sudden appearance but noticed it's glowing eyes.

A friend of hers mentioned that when she was expecting her first clutch she was visited by an animal with glowing eyes and she got a sense of relief from them being there. As if the Motherfather was speaking to her through the animal, telling her she'll be alright. Maybe that's why this wasp was here? It seems to be expecting something, just hovering there. Maybe she should say something?

"Umm, hello. Have you come to help me? As a kin who never knew my parents, how will I know if I'll be a good parent to my own offspring?" Song was a bit embarrassed by the fact she was talking to a wasp, telling it her worries.

BUZZZZZZZ BUZZ BUZZZZ.

The wasp seemed to be trying to communicate, growing increasingly frustrated as she bobbed jerkily through the air. Eventually it clicked - the Kiokote couldn't understand. She transformed mid-flight, dropped the ground as a mare, landing gracefully on all four hooves.

Her expression was just as unreadable as that of her wasp form as she answered bluntly, "you won't."

She was starting to think she upset the wasp when it turned into a mare and she landed in front of her. Her eyes widened in shock and awe.

The mare spoke..."you won't" and it took a bit for her words to sink in. "Then what should I do? What if I make a mistake?" She looked to the mare, her eyes glowed intensely but the rest of her expression was unreadable.

Swarm blinked, slow, steady. She hummed, a deep sound in the back of her throat.

"You learn from it and keep going."

Her own clutch had been a trial by fire, she certainly wasn't the warmest of mothers, but she'd muddled through in the end.

Swarm wasn't the sort to give gentle-tongued platitudes and hopes, wishful thinking wasn't her style. Instead there was just hard truths, which could be comforting in its own way.

"I don't know," she answered. "But that shouldn't stop you from trying your best. Protect and raise them, even if you aren't that strong. Push past what you believe yourself capable." Her head tilted thoughtfully, considering what gift she could give. "And should you fail, I will bless your children with strength of body and will, so that they may protect themselves and each other."

The worry that plagued her face subsided and a look of relief replaced it. "I guess I will have to see when the time comes how I'll handle it. Thank you."

She didn't bother with farewell. Her job was done.

With a nod of her head, Swarm changed once more, into a wasp darting rapidly away.
