[B] Power of Water [Icy Ice x Shadowed Moon]

Icy Ice walks on a forest path, around him are tall pines that seems to whisper in the wind, but maybe thats just in his head? He comes to two paths. One path leads to a loud waterfall. The other path goes into thick bushes. He thinks of Swim Saver teaching him to swim, remembers the laughter they shared in the water. A Blessing is what he was searching for, its to deepen the bond he shares with Swim Saver, and to welcome healthy, curious kids who will learn to swim in waters like he did, the laugh they will share and the adventures they will have.
He smiles, chooses the waterfall path and steps forward the sound of water.

The roar of the waterfall grows louder with each step. His hooves slip on smooth stones, but he moves carefully. Water means life, thats what he is searching for! He reaches a wide pool at the waterfalls base. Icy Ice lowers his head and steps closer. He feels the power of the waterfall, the strengh of the water.

Paddling almost meaninglessly near the edge of the pool, seemingly stuck in place due intensity of the waterfall, floats an ice blue miniduck. Shadowed Moon's boney wings flap a few times before he settles them again, the glowing orb above his head bouncing up and down as his small form does. Behind him hovers the shadow of his Kimeti self, legs half submerged in the water as though to mimic his miniature form, a look of perhaps contemplation on the reflection's face. The newly blessed Kimeti was still not quite used to these new changes. Shadowed Moon had always assumed that being such a legendary kin would automatically make one more... composed? Sadly for him, that was not the case. This event had changed him, that much was clear, but other than refreshing sense of purpose and acceptance he didn't feel particularly more composed than normal.

This was one of the real advantages of being a miniduck. Much less to think about. The buck could still think, but something about being in this form seemed to ease his mind, slow the racing thoughts and help him relax for a while. He was also much more fond of water in this form, no surprise, so the buck had been spending some time getting used to things. Now, he was mostly just relaxing after a long session of wandering thoughts, since he'd happened to come upon this lovely pool after walking toward the sound of the waterfall. Spinning in circles, whether due to the flow of the water or perhaps his own paddling, the miniduck didn't immediately notice the other buck until he had turned back around. When he did however the miniduck immediately started quacking, as though attempting to speak this new visitor, the reflection turning turning to face the buck as well.

Icy Ice had hoped, no.. believed, he might find someone here. So when he saw the soft blue shape paddling at the waters edge, his heart beat a little faster. His breath caught as the miniduck spun and faced him, letting out a quack, the glowing orb above its head bobbing like a star. Then he noticed the shadow behind it, shaped like a buck, half in the water. It didnt move much, but it felt like it was watching him.. waiting.

Icy Ice took a slow step closer. The cool water touched his hooves as he looked at the small blue duck in front of him. He gently lowered his head, to show respect and to be on the same level as the duck, so they could look at each other eye to eye. "I was hoping to find someone here", he continued. "And now that I see you.. maybe you are the one I was looking for? I came for a Blessing. For me, for him.. and maybe for those who could come after. Little ones. We dream of them sometimes.", he smiled. "I dont know what happens now.", he paused, just for a moment. "But I am here.", he said in a quiet voice, barely loud enough to hear.

Shadowed Moon watched as the other buck approached, paddling his feet to keep himself facing the now eye-level kin. He spoke and acted with such respect that the miniduck found himself quite pleased. Such a polite Kimeti! The way he spoke of his loved ones, even those who had yet to join his family touched something in the Legendaries own heart, and he beamed. The other buck seemed almost apprehensive, confused. While Shadowed Moon had not yet given a blessing himself despite instinctively knowing how, as while he could have blessed his own most recent clutch it had seemed wrong somehow not to share such a gift with another before partaking himself, he had once been on the receiving end of such a thing. Either way, it was his responsibility to bring ease to the aching heart before him.

The buck shifted back into his normal form, the reflection behind him seeming to melt into the miniduck as it grew and changed back into his Kimeti body. Not wanting to tower over the kin before him, to return the favor in kind, Shadowed Moon laid down in the water with his forelimbs crossed before him, looking at the buck with a beaming smile. The water was now only just past his hooves, so it was actually rather comfortable even as it wet his fur and cooled his skin. The gentle breeze and the misty air from the waterfall behind him only added to atmosphere, adding an almost sparkle to the air that was enhanced by the aura from the glowing egg gently rocking between his horns.

"Come friend." Shadowed Moon said with a smile, "tell me what your worries and wishes for those you love, and I will help you in any way I can."

Icy Ice watched with wide eyes as the little duck changed, the shadow behind it melted into the water and soon a buck stood in its place.

He watched the buck for a moment, still a little in awe. After a short pause he spoke again "thank you. For being here.. for listening." He looked at the glowing egg between the other bucks horns. Then he looked back into his eyes. "I came to ask for a special kind of blessing", he said slowly, choosing his words with care. "A foal.. touched by your gift." He paused, thinking of Swim Saver. A small smile came to his face again. "Swim Saver and I.. we want to grow our little family. We dream of foals that are part of both of us. A family we can care for, teach, and love. Little ones who can feel safe, and learn to swim, just like I did.. to see the world.. to make friends."

He lowered his head again. "It would mean the world to me.. to us." He stayed quiet, looking at Shadowed Moon with hope.

Shadowed Moon nodded in response to the buck's thanks, giving him a reassuring smile as he watched the other kin's eyes glance above his head. The Legendaries' eyes, which glowed with the light of a full moon, seemed focused as he took in the request given so carefully to him. The buck could feel the genuine love and care in the desires being shared, one that was of his own heart. It was like a warmth that filled his being and begged to be spoken aloud. Perhaps he was the one truly blessed that this was the first gift he could give. Such dedication deserved a true reward in kind, and Shadowed Moon would do his best give it.

For a moment, the air around the Legendary seemed to darken, as though he sits in the night sky. The egg above his head shining down upon the buck before him. "Your love will be made manifest, children of your hearts that shall find their dreams in the gentle embrace of the water. Through they may journey, they need never search for love, for it shall be all around them." Shadowed Moon's eyes shine, the moonlight within taking on a piercing glow that is quickly followed by a lovestruck smile. "...and a gift, from the one who holds my heart, for the devotion not unlike my own." The air around the buck returns to normal, the moon within his eyes sparkling as he smiles at the kin before him. "She blesses you as well."

Settling in more comfortably, he glances again at the other buck. "Should you desire any advice on raising a clutch, that I can give you as well. I have raised many of my own, and am always glad to share what knowledge I have." With a pleased chuckle he adds, "I'm Shadowed Moon, and thank you for coming to me. To give such a gift is a blessing in and of itself."

Since Icy Ice and Swim Saver are lifemates, Shadowed Moon's blessing takes extra effect due to his unique ability and their extra baby will be twins! Enjoy your bonus bonus baby~ (You'll probably want to mention this to whomever does the breeding for ease. ;3)
