Hot gossip: "I heard that your cousin's father's sister's child love collecting bird droppings and pretending to be a monster.
RP response:
"Does he? I guess children can have quite unique tendencies." Tides of Fortune said, sipping her tea and filing it away for when it might be useful (although it's probably unlikely). She likes to listen to gossip, although she's too discreet to share it. "How is the family? I haven't seen them in a while."

Hot gossip: "I heard that your sister love knocking on wood and speaking in tongues.
RP response: Endless Dawn loved a little gossip. He leaned in closer and adds, "I think I have seen her doing that. She's a weird one for sure. Do you think she's practicing dark magic?" He paused. "You know, I saw a strangely drawn circle when I was visiting her last time. Tell me more - what else do you know?"

Hot gossip: "I heard that the caimain in the swamp thinks it’s funny to scare cranes and start fires."
RP response: Strange Creature frowned at the rumor. "Well, they do tend to scare cranes, but that's usually because they either want to eat the crane, they want to eat what the crane's hunting, or the crane is too close to their nest. Adult cranes will happily eat baby caimans, and the mothers don't really appreciate that. And a crane's not an easy meal, but there's enough meat on them to satisfy a caiman, I suppose. Did you know some of them balance sticks on their snouts, hoping to entice birds into coming closer in pursuit of building materials? So it's not quite that they think it's funny, more like it's a survival skill." She paused, thinking. "The fire, though, yeah, I suppose in the right mindset arson can be funny. Are you sure it's the caimans, though? Seems like more of a salamander thing to me."

Hot gossip:
"I heard that the caiman in the swamp are addicted to collecting bird droppings and being a silly goose.”
RP response: Under the Rose chuckled at the rumor. "I don't think I've ever seen a caiman do that- collecting bird droppings or being silly. I suspect... wait, do you hear that? The sound of thundering hooves and exposition about to happen?"

"ACTUALLY THEY'RE QUITE PLAYFUL" came the holler as Strange Creature galloped back into view. "Crocodilians of all sizes have been observed engaging in play behavior. They like to bite at springs and water trickles and will slide down muddy hills for no apparent reason other than it's fun! They'll also pick up flowers and carry them around- they tend to prefer pink ones, but nobody's sure why! And sometimes they'll even engage in conspecific play where smaller ones will ride around on bigger ones' backs, even outside of breeding season. While the bird dropping thing is probably just mistaken identification of egg-eating or nest raiding for hatchlings, they really can be quite the silly geese! Most reptiles can, if you're willing to take the time to watch them!"

Under the Rose just stared at her. "Who are you?" He had never seen this doe before in his life and he was terrified.

Hot gossip: "I heard that you hate tipping turtles and copying cats."
RP response: "Don't talk about tipping turtles!" Opportunity wailed. "She'll hear you! After last year's debacle with the tortoises breaking down the walls of the pen, she will hear you and she will come running to do something about it. I love my mother but she is relentless." A panicked look on her face, the Kimeti pawed the ground and shouted. "Yes, that is right! I DO hate tipping turtles! I don't copy cats, either! I love and respect all of the Swamp's creatures and would never, ever in my life tip over a turtle, not even if there's like five of them I'm supposed to be watching and they're all swarming me because I have a single melon that was meant to be my lunch but the dang things want it and they're so persistent even if they are slow, and I definitely wouldn't tip one over knowing that it was perfectly capable of un-tipping itself in order to escape. That highly speciic scenario never happened! I hate tipping turtles! Hate it hate it hate it!"

She looked left, then right, then up and down, then to the left and right again, then glared hard at the rumormonger. "Let us never speak of this again.

Hot gossip: "I heard that your father has always wanted to step on cracks and start fires.
RP response: It's an unusually warm winter this year, but Familiar has never let the temperature stop her from enjoying a hot cup of tea. The sweet scent drags her towards the booth it's wafting from. The warm welcome she receives makes he feel right at home and she waits patiently for the tea to steep- you can't rush these things, she knows. As the other doe pours the tea, she leans in close and whispers something......strange into Familiar's ear. Familiar responds with a tilt of her head and a very confused look. "How do you know my father? I don't even know my father...."

Hot gossip: "I heard that your neighbour have always wanted to eating funny mushrooms and speaking in tongues.
RP response: Over in the glade where Sunny made her home, a heady scent filled the air, fresh and sweet, reminiscent of blooming flowers and ripe fruits. The aroma was an unspoken invitation, pulling creatures from far and wide to partake in the warmth of her company.

On this particular day, as rays of sunlight streamed through the branches, casting a golden glow over everything, Life in Full Color wandered into Sunny’s glade. With careful steps, he approached, drawn by the intoxicating scent. There, sitting on cushions woven from soft moss and adorned with vibrant wildflowers, Sunny beamed a welcoming smile that could ease even the heaviest of hearts.

“Come, sit with me,” she said, her voice as gentle as a summer breeze. With a graceful nudge of her hoof, she gestured to a patch of sun-warmed grass beside her. The kin obliged, sinking into the comfort of the earth.

“Would you care for some tea?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Without waiting, she poured a fragrant brew from a delicate acorn cap, steam curling into the air like whispers of secrets. As Life in Full Color cradled the warm cup, the unique blend of herbs and the sweetness of honey danced on their tongue, a delightful experience that mirrored the vibrancy of the forest around them.

Leaning in close, Sunny lowered her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “But there is something I must tell you,” she said, casting a cautious glance to ensure no one was within earshot. “It seems your neighbor has a peculiar wish, a fascination with eating funny mushrooms and speaking in tongues!”

Life in Full Color chuckled, intrigued. “Really? What would prompt such a rare hobby?”

“Oh, you know how it is here in the woods,” Sunny replied playfully, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “Strange things happen when the moon is full and the shadows grow long. I’ve heard whispers that he’s always believed these mushrooms hold the key to opening the door to other realms, mixed with a little bit of magic, of course!”

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a glow upon the glade, the two continued to share the stories of their lives, laughter echoing through the trees. Sunny spoke of her adventures, her encounters with lofty eagles, spritely rabbits, and even the occasional wise old owl. Each tale was infused with warmth and whimsy, painting life in vibrant strokes of color.

“Every little moment deserves to shine brightly, don’t you think?” Sunny exclaimed, her voice rising with excitement.

The buck nodded, feeling a spark of joy ignite within them, taking in the vivid sights and sounds of the forest, the multitude of greens in the leaves, the brilliant splashes of wildflowers, and even the gentle melodies of the water nearby.

As twilight descended, painting the sky with hues of lavender and soft oranges, the air filled with the sounds of night creatures beginning their serenade. Sunny, satisfied and playful, filled her cup once more, inviting Life in Full Color to stay just a little longer.

Hot gossip: "I heard that your cousin's father's sister's child watches other kin collecting bird droppings and pretends to be a monster.
RP response: There was a moment, just one, where Walk Through's head came up, and he scowled thoughtfully. So deep in thought was he that he didn't notice that Sunny had bound off, leaving him settled by his tea. "Wait, but I don't have cousins-" he blinked, brow furrowing as he tipped his head to one side. "Wait, where-"

Hot gossip: "I heard that your mother likes stepping on cracks and shaking bushes.
RP response: Twig giggled as she approached, "I heard that your mother likes stepping on cracks and shaking bushes." "I mean, if you like to do that kind of thing then by all means. Does your mom actually like doing that? I try to avoid cracks when possible, don't want to chip a hoof or anything." She said with a giggle.

Hot gossip: "I heard that your sister watchs other kin knock on wood and fight fat fish.
RP response: Made of Stardust had heard some interesting things during the winter market, both at his booth and just walking around to see what other kin were up to. He'd found the source - a tea-drinking Acha - and he'd sat down to hear what she'd heard about him. Or, in this case, his sister!

"I don't have a sister," he said with a little laugh. "But if I did, that does sound like something she'd probably do!"

Hot gossip: "I heard that your cousin's father's sister's child pays pebbles to knock on wood and speak in tongues.
RP response: Starving sipped her tea as she listened to Sunny's supposed gossip on her. She wracked her brain trying to follow the linage as Sunny began her giggling profession and she hardly listened to what came after, trying to figure out exactly who the acha was even talking about! Did she even have one of those? Was it a cousin? A grand-niece? She had no clue, and therefore, took no offense to the silly game.

RP response: Echoed Chorus giggled along with Sunny and he nodded enthusiastically. "Oh, yes, she certainly does! Fat fish kind of frighten her, actually...and she's not superstitious at all. She thinks it's silly!" Echo, of course, had no idea if his mother actually hated those things, but it was fun to pretend!

Hot gossip: "I heard that Your mother Find it fun to Collecting bird droppings and Shaking bushes."
RP response: His wide eyes met hers as she poured him a cup, the steam swirling between them like a secret spell. "Word travels fast around here.”

Grained raised an eyebrow, already skeptical. “What?” A mix of amusement and shock painting his face. Sunny erupted in giggles, the sound infectious as she imagined Grained’s mother in a wild chase of the wind, gathering the treasures of the sky.

“I can't imagine her at that.” he said, his initial shock morphed into reluctant laughter. “Okay, okay, I’ll bite, tell me more!” he chuckled, his initial embarrassment fading away. “But I’ll have to come up with something even sillier about you next!”

And just like that they shared sips of tea and laughter.

Hot gossip: "I heard that Your best friend Hate Licking frogs and Spilling secrets."
RP response: Moonlit Flower raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "The question is, why should he not hate licking frogs?” she replied, a grin creeping onto her lips. “Have you ever tasted one? They’re all slimy and full of secrets themselves!”

Sunny burst into a fit of laughter, the atmosphere bubbling with joy. The two reveled in this foolishness as their imaginations ran wild, turning forgotten whispers into a tapestry of laughter, resulting in a delicious afternoon that would linger in their memories like the sweet scent of the tea.
