So much... a word came to him, a word he'd never known. Spandex. It held no meaning back in the swamp, and he knew he'd forget it as soon as he left, but oh, to revel in Spandex and hair spray and all of these new, magical things!

Ever the entertainer, Comfort Lies had been attracted by the to the ethereal structure, the vibrant buck calling those to his domain. The gaunt young buck stepped forward willingly, and perused the so-called 'big tops'. The invitation to perform was a lure he cared not to resist. His shift into a more human form hardly registered, his hands twisting into the mane of a beast he did not recognize, and he hauled himself up. He settled astride, and found his steed taking him around the circus ring to adulation, before taking him towards... Fire. Rings of fire. He threw himself up and through one.

Two. Three. Four.

Each time, caught by his steed.

All the way to eight- or was it ten?- until he tumbled to the floor, and found himself rising up onto his hooves, blinking off the strange, strange sensation of having lost something.
