◤ Worlds & Bay Sleep's Seaside Bingo ◢

Hushed Gathering practically vibrated, he was so excited. His curled tail swished in the sand as he watched all the spots around the family booth fill up with kin who eyed the fat fish splashing in the ponds. When the last spot filled up, he leapt up in the air. His mother assured him that once every spot filled up, he could finally start the game! The little foal dashed over to the big shell perched in front of a shallow hole in the sand. "Okay, is everyone ready?" Hushed Gathering shouted to the crowd. A few of the kin nodded and there were a few cheers. The young buck lifted his hoof and gave the big shell a few good shakes until some of the rocks fell out. Carefully, he picked up each of them and placed them in a row for everyone to see and called each out.

This sort of game was absolutely Go With The Flow’s speed, so she was definitely one of the cheers heard from the crowd. Not only did bingo provide lots of kin to interact with, but it was a fun, casual game in a lovely location.

This was her vibe - chill and fun!

“I have a match!“ The first roll and she was already on the board. Flow very proudly accepted the matching shell from one of the foals with a pleased ‘thanks’.

◤ Worlds & Bay Sleep's Seaside Bingo ◢

Bay Sleep was happy to see this project finally get underway. The lion fat fish were a handful on top of his already rambunctious children. Where did all this energy come from? It definitely wasn't him, he knew, as he stretched like a cat in a sun beam. The warm weather during winter was nice, and he appreciated having more opportunities to nap. Not like these opportunities came up often, given the children and the fish and the Market and the-

Anyways.

The lanky buck watched his mate with a smile as she greeted newcomers to the booth. His smile grew into a laugh as he watched Sunlit Swells bounce beside her mother, questions flying out of her mouth. He'd hoped that all the excitement might wear the kids out, but it seemed to just energize them more somehow? Motherfather knew that the whole thing was tiring for him. Before stepping out to help with the booth, he nuzzled Written in the Ancient Sediments, who found a nice and warm patch of sand to lay in while things were set up. The little doe seemed tuckered out already...

Until someone started shouting??? Bay Sleep snapped his head up only to find that it was Drop in the Ocean, shouting about eating the fish? What in the Swamp was going on over there? He glanced between Worlds Within Worlds and Drop in the Ocean. What a hoof-ful. Bay sent a few smiles to nearby boothgoers as he walked over to the boys. "Drop, why do you want to eat them? There are plenty of fish we can feed you that are less...pointy."

Written in the Ancient Sediments was happy to spend some time soaking up sunbeams while the booth was set up. Little did she know, those sunbeams would have her snoozing before everything was in place. The crowds didn't even rouse her, and when she startled awake from some shouting, the booth was full of boothgoers. She perked her little head up in time to hear her ridiculous brother shouting questions about eating fat fish? The little doe groaned, rolled over, and clamped her eyes shut.

Deep Found Peace frowned at his brother at the suggestion he let the fish eat each other. That was just silly, if they ate each other then their parents wouldn't have any prizes to give out. He opened his mouth to say as much, but Drop shouted over him, making Deep flinch, his ears saddled back and posture tensing. Why was the other young buck so loud? Most of his siblings were energetic, but they weren't loud.

Well, not always. Hushed was being loud right now, but he was calling out numbers for the game. That was alright.

"You're going to get in trouble," he pipped up, then smiled as their father came over to talk to Drop. "I was keeping the fish from fighting."

The colorful doe froze when Drop started shouting, and she turned her head to stare at her rambunctious son, ready to head over to deal with the situation, but Bay Sleep was already heading over to handle things. She let out a heavy breath and shook her head, but she smiled as well. Spirited boy, he liked to stir up trouble. A little too much, at times.

Worlds turned her attention instead to Hushed as he ran over to the shell to give it a shake, spilling out some of the stones so he could call out the symbols scratched into them. "Well done, Hushed. You did great." She could feel Sunset Swells vibrating beside her, excited and envious, and she looked down at the filly kindly. "You can call the next set of stones." She wanted to put an end to any whining before it emerged.

The shouting was a momentary distraction, drawing Sunset's full attention towards the tidepools and her brothers. She looked around her mother's legs, ears perked to listen -- easedrop, more like, as father wandered over to talk to the boys.

That wouldn't hold her attention for long, though. Hushed had started the game, shouting out symbols, and Sunset Swell bristled. She'd wanted to be first. Her mother, sensing the impending protest, assured her she could do the next set, and the little filly closed her mouth, huffing quietly.

She didn't argue though. Instead she nodded and skipped off across the sand to go and lay with her sleepy sister.

Phantom looked down at his board, and then back at the pebbles had been drawn, taking his time to make sure he made no mistakes. After double-checking his findings, he finally, carefully marked off two numbers on his board. This was fun - and it was exciting that he had already had a couple of his numbers pulled!

Desperation found this game... silly. Truly, she found the doings of most kin silly, which was part of why she lived such a generally solitary lifestyle. (The occasional homicidal rage was the other part of it, but hey, girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.) But even such a creature needed company from time to time, so she'd left her seaside grotto for... warmer shores, apparently? There was a beach here now? Weird. She'd been swept up in the crowd, and now here she was, and there were kin giving her shells and- oh, those were her numbers getting called.

"I got. Several matches." A pause. "That's good, right?" She turned to a nearby buck, a dark fellow who was marking his board. "I was not paying attention before he called the numbers. We want the matches, yes?"

Phantom startled slightly at the voice, closer than he expected, and dare he assume...directed at him? Turning to look at the doe who'd spoken, he hesitated for a heartbeat before responding, his voice soft, although not so quiet as to be hard to hear. "Yes. You're trying to form lines on your board with the matched numbers, as I understand it."

Looking over at her board in curiosity, he smiled slightly, motioning with one of his hooves "It looks like you're off to a great start, with that many numbers on your board."

Swells looked up when her mother caught her eye again, nodding towards the big shell, and the little let out an excited gasp before climbing to her feet and racing across the sun warmed sand. it was her turn.

She put her foot on the side of it to give it a hearty shake, ears laying back as the pebbles fell out quicker than she expected. She nosed them towards the ones her brother had already called out, lining them up beneath the others before calling out the newest set.

Then she pranced her way back over to Ancient and settled down beside her, pleased as punch.

Sea wasn't doing as well as some but she got 1 on the first set of numbers and she got 2 this time! Maybe next time she'd get 3 at the rate this was going. She happily marked her card and looked around at some of the other's that was joining in on the fun.

As more numbers were called, Phantom went back to looking at his board, and was surprised to see he'd gotten two additional numbers! Still no bingo, but it was gratifying to see progress, at least. He hadn't expected much in that regard, when he sat down to play, and there was a pleasant, fairly laid back energy to the crowd as a whole, which was also a plus.

The excitement rolling off Sunlit Swells was enough to rouse Written in the Ancient Sediments, but it was probably her sister's tail flicking in the sand that somehow broke through her sleepy haze. The bright doe cracked an eye open to look at her sister and knew she couldn't avoid the boothgoers any longer, so it was probably better to get it out of the way now. Why couldn't they play this game after the sun went down? Then she'd be right as rain. The tiny doe got up on her hooves and stretched her back like a cat. With a hearty shake from her mane down to the end of her tail, she was ready to continue the game.

Written in the Ancient Sediments toddled over to the giant shell and really looked at it. She could probably fit in there if the opening was larger, it was so big. She'd be interested in talking to the turtle that had lived in it. Before she got more distracted by the idea of giant turtles, she gently raised a tiny hoof and prodded the shell. A few rocks spilled out, but not enough. Ancient didn't want to keep the crowd waiting, and gave the shell a solid thwack with her hoof, and smiled when enough rocks were in the sand in front of it. Delicately, she placed the new rocks under her sister's in the sand for the booth goers to see and faced them with a smile.

"I see!" she said, with more delight in her voice than she typically allowed. "There's several, but none in a line yet." She marked her board a couple more times, then looked around to see some of the others. "Have you played this game before?

Sea wondered how others were doing, so far she got one more of the numbers called. Surely someone was close to a bingo.
