Carry You With Me hadn't had much of an opportunity to enjoy the winter market this season but was hoping to visit a few booths before the season was over. Crimson, her red foxbun companion, followed closely behind her as she approached Death Squareds Berry Booth. As she watched other's participate she realized it was a type of shooting game, the target was some leaves pasted to a wall. Each one was decorated with different shapes, the longer she stared she realized they were a heart, an x and a critter. Fascinating! She assumed, in this case, x did NOT mark the spot and that the goal was to hit either the heart or the critter. Green gaze observed a few breaths longer and it confirmed her thoughts and she smiled, pleased that she had assumed correctly.

Trotting on over to an open booth, Crimson trailed quickly beside her, she inspected the items before her. Berries and a device to shoot them. This seemed pretty simple in way of logistics. This was something she SHOULD be able to do, though it didn't mean she'd do well at it. Placing a berry she took aim and fired it towards the wall. The foxbun flinched at the sound of the berry splatting against the wall and Carry You With Me smiled. She had hit one of the hearts. Her goal was to TRY and get at least one of each of the desired targets, though she wasn't much fussed about winning anything. It was for the fun of participation that she really wanted to do these booths.

Picking up another berry she looked down at Crimson, "Not too bad for a first timer yea?" She didn't expect a response, she just liked talking at them. Firing it it hit one of the X's and she replaced the fired berry with a third one. "See, we can't always be winners, and that's okay." Shooting the bright red berry she watched as a flash of color splattered against one of the critter leaves and she did a happy little dance to herself. If anyone was paying any attention they might think her a little odd, but she didn't care what other's thought.

"Two more to go!" She wasn't exactly hyping herself up more as she was just talking herself through the process. She didn't socialize much, so talking to herself was sort of a thing. Shooting a blueberry at the wall it ker-thunked and splatted against the critter leaf, the red and blue making a pretty purple shade as they combined. Giggling to herself she shot the final berry and it exploded in a flash of red against the heart. Which seemed fitting as hearts were typically red. "Well then, I think that was fairly exciting, don't you?" She looked down at Crimson and he was busy twitching his nose and looking around them at the sea of faces. She tried to not really focus on anything else but her own little world, sometimes it was quite overwhelming being in crowded places. Winter Market was sort of the exception to that, she didn't mind mingling when there was fun games involved. Which this had most definitely been.

She was unfamiliar with the hosts of this booth and wished to thank them but also didn't want to spend too much time looking for someone she didn't even know. What if she thanked the wrong kin? "Well, let's go find another booth. I hope they're all as fun as this one was." She beamed happily and the pair headed off to check out the rest of the market.

Prompt: Kick in the Teeth is a hunter, and part of that hunting has been an ability to flick a rock at a small creature with breakneck speed. Literally. And so when he steps up to take aim, it's with a swagger of confidence and a dark-eyed stare, as if the leaf targets were kin who had done him wrong. A twist of his heat, a flick to throw the berry, and the fact that he them misses is infuriating. He stands and stares, his shot just a hair too far to the left, and then his jaw sets and he storms off.

He swears he'll never try again.

Prompt: Okay, so mayb he swore a bit soon.

It's hours later when he returns, and this time, he's been practicing. He's decided that his previous failure was due to the light nature of the berries. He's used to rocks, of course; you can't kill anything with berries, but as his collection of pelts can attest, rocks can do so just fine. This time, he pops them in his mouth and spits them rapid fire, ping ping ping ping, trying to hit the same spot every single time.

Three out of four isn't bad, the star peppered with color, and at least the one that strayed also hit a target. He licks his lips, nods with satisfaction, and takes off more sedately this time.

Bring closed her eyes, took another deep breath. Aimed and gosh darn it.
This was her last one, she had to hit something right? And she did, another heart!
While a bit bummed she only got two of five, she believed over the entire game she hit more then missed and was happy with that.
