Week 3 Prompt

The Ancient Zikwa were not aware of the effect bringing up crocodiles would have on the inhabitants of the Swamp. Some were excited! Some were terrified! Some wanted to show off their caiman instead! Very interesting. They were learning more and more about these strange lands, and excited to continue to do so.

In the interest of more light-hearted conversation, they turned their attention to some of the more unique creatures they've come across. The Zikwa recognize that their fish companions are different from the standard in the Swamp, but after a few peeks outside of their little shadowy area, they realize there are quite a few varieties!

Now they're curious about the silliest fish the kin of the Swamp have seen.

Echoed Chorus giggled softly before leaning in to boop the snout of the strange Zikwa with his hoof.

"You! Noooo I'm just kidding," he said with a laugh, clearly delighted at his own joke. "I saw a pretty silly fish not too long ago, actually! It had big pouty lips and a rather sad looking face. I felt a bit bad for it. It could sort of crawl along on the ground using its fins but it didn't get very far very fast. All in all it was just a really silly looking little guy who also made me feel a little bit bad for it."

Not long ago I had to cross a river, but it was so deep and had such a strong current that I couldn't do it. Exhausted, I sat on the side and stared at the water until I suddenly noticed the fish a little further up. There was a lot of fish, they were swimming against the current, along the river. But as I watched them longer I noticed that the fish weren't making any progress, as I got closer I realized why. When a fish jumped out of the water to make some progress, the water splashed around it, which fascinated the other fish so much that for a short time they didn't pay attention to swimming forward and fell back. This happened every time I tried to move forward.
