Calling Bird, ever the silent type, merely tilted his head in mild confusion. Why WOULD he want to scare a crane. They were friends!

He wasn’t sure how anyone would speak without a tongue, but he decided not to ask.

RP response: Roaming Free wasn't sure why he was back. The last two days had left him more confused than not and it seemed... well it didn't seem quite right that the gossip he'd heard had had that type of effect on him. Still. He came back, and braced himself, still confused more than anything else as to his return, but this time, he blinked at the gossip he did hear.

That honestly didn't sound too far-fetched. He'd eaten delightfully but funny mushrooms before and the after-effects had been... interesting.

Given the flimsy state of reality this close to the strange tree it's entirely possible he looked like a different kin to her. Bite of Passage took a deep breath and kept walking. He wasn't going to even try to respond to that.
