He wouldn't have called it curiosity that saw him following the glowing trail of lights towards the center of the swamp. A voice had echoed above him in the darkness, one that had followed him since his time underground and within the obelisks, and urged him to follow the lights. Much of the time the voice whispered incomprehensible sentences or repeated sounds he'd heard before. Sometimes the rare word or snippet of song came through clear but it was rare that the voice sounded anything other than playful. Tonights...todays? fearful urging of the kincaller bade him to listen, and follow.

As he had during his time in the dark caves, Bite of Passage kept to himself. Interacting with other kin still didn't come naturally to him. He had little desire to make friends or acquaintances. When given the choice of finding a sparring partner or going up against one of the dummies... Bite of Passage hesitated. It would not be his first taste of combat but never had he fought without the intent to follow through with his actions. Maybe it was a sign of growth that he hesitated. Perhaps leaving a body in the middle of this crowd would be less welcome than it was at the behest of Night Father.

Bite of Passage chose the dummy.

He made quick work of the dummy which was to be expected. Seeing the broken limbs scattered before him left little satisfaction though. It just wasn't the same.
