[RP] A Winter Bloom in Summer's Grasp

Post by Owlsomniac »

Love sighs to himself in annoyance as he looks around for the fifth time that morning and realizes that he may actually be a little bit...lost. He'd told Winter to slow down, more than once, but noooo the big idiot was in too much of a hurry. He probably hadn't even realized that Love's complaints to slow down had miraculously ceased.

Love rolls his eyes. He has great affection for all of his siblings, but Winter is often much like an over-excitable sanddog. Affectionate, eager, but not always the most attentive to detail. Actually, that might be an insult to sanddogs, but still - it's what Love thinks of when he imagines his brother. He smirks a bit to himself and then shakes his head in annoyance as the expression shifts once more to a frown.

He should have just stayed put. He knows better, really, but by then he'd already been annoyed and well - now here he is.

He keeps half-expecting Winter to come striding through the brush with an affable 'there you are!', after which Love will berate him for being so careless while secretly being quite relieved to see him (if still annoyed at him).

However, after a few hours pass and that doesn't happen Love is forced to admit that not only is he lost, but apparently his brother has lost him, too. Probably, hopefully, Winter has enlisted the aid of one of their other siblings, or perhaps their uncle Bear.

How embarrassing.

The little corner of the swamp Love had wandered into was peacefully quietly, so the unusual spunds of a kin wandering around blindly stood out enough to be noticable by one of the few kin that did happen to live nearby.

Languish stared off between the trees with a look of obvious annoyance on his face before an amused promoting from his twin got the elegant buck up onto his feet and heading out to investigate. It didn't sound like anoy of their siblings or family, they were usually quieter when they moved through, their paces measured and purposeful. This was not. This sounded less sure, less familiar.

Why became obvious when Languish happened upon the brightly colored buck. "You look lost," he observed aloud as he drew nearer, thin tail flicking gently around his ankles, the curious tilt of his head sending a long braid swaying off his shoulder.
