[PRP] Soaking in sun [Truly Mine x Born of the Sun]

Post by seru_ame »

Truly Mine smiled broadly at him, tail swaying as she carefully positioned the stone between the two of them. She lifted her fore-hooves, balancing precariously on her hindlegs for a second, stood up tall. Sank back down a moment, and then gestured. "Shield your eyes, but watch- you want to catch the rock with your hoof-tip, but on the thickest part. Mind the soft part, and try not to crack your hooves. You might chip it- but you look well-fed." She'd broken hers a time or ten, before she figured out what she needed to eat to strengthen them. "Sucking bones and chewing them helps, too," she muttered, and then lofted herself once more- and slammed down with practiced precision. She heard that oh-so-satisfying crack, and her hoof met hard ground beneath the stone. She stepped back, gingerly, and then looked down at it carefully.

"Let's see..."

Oh.

Within the geode, beautiful gems, barely damaged, refracted light amongst its crystalline structures. Sunrise, sunlight, caught in stone. Truly Mine gasped softly, and then stepped back, tucking her forelegs as she lowered herself to get a better look. "I've never seen one this beautiful before- my, but you are a lucky charmer, aren't you~"

[PRP] Soaking in sun [Truly Mine x Born of the Sun]

Sun nodded along to her instruction, watching carefully as she positioned the rock and lifted a hoof. He turned his head, eyes closing to slits...

The strike of her hoof against the rock made him flinch, he couldn't help it, but when he opened his eyes again he saw what she saw; sunlight twinkling off the sharp points of beautiful crystals. Rainbows danced over the ground and along the both of their bodies. He was silent as he walked up for a better look, sinking slowly to settle on the ground beside the doe as she admired the crystals. "That's incredible." He'd never seen anything like it either, though that wasn't saying much, he didn't think.

When she called him a lucky charm he flushed again, head turning to look at her as she admired the crystals.

The doe couldn't possibly fault the buck his flinch. What kin among them all wouldn't, hearing stone break like that for the first time? True wagged her tail some, and then nosed the larger half over to him with a smile. She lifted her head up, when he looked to her, and gave his chin an affectionate tap with the delicate scales on her snout. She turned her nose back down, and tipped her head, to get a better look at the crystals herself. "Never have I ever seen such hues in stone before. Think it suits your hide better than mine," she mused.

Oh, did he look pink when she bumped his chin with her nose, the flush showing alarmingly clear through the thin fur if his pale hide.

It left him quite unsure what to do, even after she'd nudged a large chunk of crystal lined rock towards him. He looked down at it while what she said sank in, then blinked up at her. "Are you sure? 6ou could make so many trinkets with a piece this large." It was such a stunning gift, Sun didn't know if he could take it.

Truly Mine found herself more drawn to the flush in his cheeks than the glimmer in the stone. Her eyes sank half-closed, and she nodded, satisfied, with her decision. She pricked her ears up at his question, and then twitched her nose in amusement. "Of course I'm sure. There will be other rocks, but there is only one of you, and one first meeting. It's a treasure you've given me, and so, one in exchange- even if it pales in comparison to you."

Oh, that'd make him very pink indeed. Born flustered, ears flicking back and eyes widening a touch in surprise. Then an uncertain, albeit pleased smile pulled at his maw, hooves shuffling slightly as he shifted on his feet. "Well, I..." He stammered a little looking from the rock back up to her face. "Um, thank you. That's very...I mean." Did she just call him a treasure? It sounded like she'd called him a treasure.

Now what was he supposed to do?

"Not...not half so pretty as you," he managed after a moment, ears flicking forward again as he watched her closely.

True grinned widely, and then nuzzled against his cheek affectionately as he stammered through a compliment, a flirtation. "You are rather sweet. Speaking of sweet- would you like to join me for a meal?" Perhaps a meal, another span of time to get to know one another further. What a pretty smile he had- it made her smile right back at him, a charmed, pleased curve of the lips and her eyes soft and warm.

A fissure ran up the bucks spine as she nuzzled against his cheek, heat spreading dark under the paleness of his coat. He dipped his head, letting his hair fall forward to try to hide just how flustered she'd made him, but there was no hiding the slight tremor in his voice. "Yes. Yes I'd like that a great deal." Anywhere she'd like to go he'd follow her. She was beautiful, and kind, and knowledgeable, and he just wanted to listen, to watch, to be around.
